NUMC has a very active music program for all ages.
Praise Team
This group is vital to the contemporary part of
our worship. Singers and instrumentalists provide
the leadership for singing of praise songs at
the beginning of our worship service each Sunday
morning. The Praise Team welcomes both youth and
adults who sing, play guitar, percussion and/or
keyboard.
Chancel
Choir
The
Chancel Choir rehearses every Wednesday evening at
7:00
p.m.
in the Music Room. They provide both new music
& old favorites for worship from September
into June on most Sundays in addition to
presenting special music at Christmas &
Easter. All
singers are welcome. You do not have to read
music to be part of this music ministry (middle
school through adult).

Choir has reorganized.
Join us and become a bell ringer for
Christ. We’re
having great fun on Thursday nights @
6:30
in the Music Room. You
do not need prior bell experience or even be able
to read music to play hand bells (high school
through adult). Training is provided.

Our littlest ringers (Kindergarten through 2nd
grade) rehearse from
12:00
noon
to
12:25
in the Music Room on
Sundays. They
play during services at least quarterly.
Children's
Bell
Choir
Our Third Grade through Sixth Grade ringers
practice on Sundays in the Music Room from
12:30
to
1:15
.
This bell choir shares quarterly during
services.
Liturgical Dance Group
Our Liturgical Dance group will participate in
Sunday morning worship quarterly & at other
worship events throughout the year.
This dance ensemble will meet as
announced (watch your bulletins/newsletters).
Orchestra
Do you play an instrument or just keep it in a
closet? Time
to dust it off & come join those who wish to
share their special talents through this musical
ministry. The
orchestra will accompany the Chancel Choir for the
Christmas & Easter Cantata's.
Rehearsals will be from
1:30
to
2:30
on
Sundays beginning six weeks prior to the Cantata.
In addition to the above, opportunities for small
ensemble and solo work are available at NUMC.
These special groups and solos are presented during
worship and as part of the seasonal music as well.
During the summer, when the choir is on hiatus,
special solos and ensembles are presented each
Sunday.
